WE THE PEOPLE.jpg

Why Support William ?

We are living through one of those rare moments in history when a generation must decide what kind of country it wants to be. The old answers are not working. The old promises have gone unkept. What Massachusetts needs now is not a politician — it needs a public servant who has looked hardship in the eye and not blinked. William F. Gates has built his life in service: To his family, to his community, to his students, to the ideals that make this republic worth fighting for. He is running not for power, but for purpose. Not for himself — but for all of us.

This Senate seat does not belong to the powerful. It does not belong to the lobbyists or the corporations or the comfortable. It belongs to the nurse pulling a double shift. To the architecture student who wonders whether her talent will ever be enough to afford a life here. To the striking barista fighting for a fair wage. William F. Gates has stood with those people — not in speeches, but in the smoke, in the classroom, in the community and on the picket lines. He has spent his life running toward the fire, not away from it — as a firefighter, as an educator, as a union leader, as a builder of things that last. He asks not what Massachusetts can offer him, but what he can offer Massachusetts.  That is why he is running And that is why he deserves your support.

Universal Healthcare is a Human Right

William believes in universal healthcare for all Americans as a fundamental right. Growing up with a father that was a Captain in the FDNY and an EMT, A Mother that was an ICU nurse, a brother that was a firefighter and an EMT, and a sister that is a nurse practitioner, William was also an EMT, a FDNY Firefighter and a certified first responder. I believe it is a crime to profit off of the deprivation of healthcare. every year in the United States approximately 195,000 Americans die because they cannot afford healthcare. With 550,000 Americans going bankrupt every year because of healthcare costs (70% of all US bankruptcies). The time for this to end is now! We the people, Demand it!

William donates every month to the Worcester County Food Bank
For the past year, Since federal cuts under the Trump administration have placed millions of people in our communities into a state of food insecurity, William has gone grocery shopping with a special purpose. Usually buying 30 pounds of pasta and 30 jars of tomato sauce so that at least one family can eat a good meal together every day for the coming month. William knows what it is to be hungry and remembers difficult times as a child. times when there wasn't  always enough food. But in the wealthiest nation in the history of the world, 87 million Americans do not need to struggle with food insecurity and poverty. No one should struggle for food in a land with such abundance. The era of excessive materialism and excessive militarism must end.
I had the pleasure of meeting Jesus today at the Worcester County Food Bank. Thank you Jesus for helping me unload my car! See you again soon.
